Part of an ongoing project to contextualize both my Grandfather's life as well as my own in an essay film serving as both a love letter and a reflection on life and privilege.
An attempt to piece together and document the history of my grandfather. Forced out of his home at the onset of World War II, Laszlo spent most of his time during the war on a refugee train. As a child, he faced hardship too difficult for most adults to handle. Today he has become a kind and compassionate man, despite being deprived of his innocence as a child.
